Dear Parents:
I have written to all of you in regard to COVID 19 many, many times in the past 24 months. It is certainly easier to write with good news. Throughout this entire period, we have made decisions based upon local data. Our local data has recently become extremely and progressively encouraging. The number of COVID cases in our zip codes have become very small in number. In fact, four of our zip codes have no cases in the last two weeks while others are the smallest since we have tracked these in the pandemic. It is for that reason that Father Estok and I met with the Saint Albert the Great School Advisory Covid Task Force again last evening. It was the unanimous recommendation of the group to incorporate the following changes effective Monday, February 28th.
We have already returned most all of our activities including field trips and full school Mass attendance. Normalcy has been returning day by day to SATG and these additional measures will move us even closer to that goal.
Please know how much we appreciate your cooperation and support throughout these last months. I have never been prouder of our SATG students, staff and families!!!!
As always, it is my hope that we continue to see the promising retreat of the virus and that a pivot to our COVID protocols will not be necessary.
Please know you and your families are in my prayers and I ask that you keep me in yours as we approach the Lenten season.
In Christ Peace,
Ed Vittardi
