Saint Albert the Great School is thrilled to announce the grand reopening and blessing of its newly resurfaced playground, a vital part of our campus that serves nearly 1,000 students each day. The renovation was made possible through the incredible generosity of the Gorey, DiGeronimo, Baumann, and Messina families, along with hundreds of additional donors who offered their support. Their combined efforts have transformed the playground into a safe and soft-surface play area, ensuring a safer, more enjoyable environment for all of our students. Soft-surface playgrounds are specifically designed to cushion falls, reducing the risk of injuries and providing a more comfortable play space. The surface also allows for improved accessibility, ensuring that students of all abilities can participate in outdoor activities together. With this upgrade, Saint Albert the Great School continues to prioritize the safety and well-being of its students, providing them with the very best environment to learn, grow, and play. “This playground is a true blessing to our students,” said Principal Ed Vittardi. “We are immensely grateful to the Gorey, DiGeronimo, Baumann, and Messina families, as well as the many generous donors who have made this transformation possible. Their kindness will have a lasting impact on our school, giving our children a safe and joyful space for years to come. This playground is more than just a place to play; it’s a testament to the strength of our community and our shared commitment to the well-being of every student at Saint Albert the Great.” The newly resurfaced playground will continue to be a hub of activity and fun for all students, ensuring they have a safe space to enjoy the outdoors during their time at school. We look forward to seeing the joy it brings to our children as they explore, imagine, and play in this refreshed space.
