“I have a theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion, then it will start a chain reaction of the same. People will never know how far a little kindness can go.”
Rachel Scott
Last year, Ms. Blair began a group at our school honoring the memory of Rachel Scott, the first student killed during the Columbine shooting. This group, “Five for Peace” responded to the call of Rachel’s Challenge to promote a positive approach to life and relationships and create a chain reaction at Saint Albert the Great School.
“Five for Peace” seeks opportunities to show compassion, respond in caring ways, and demonstrate a positive climate in our school. Complimenting our Peace Builders program, the organization works to more deeply integrate our commitment to living out our Christian values and respecting all life. These students ignite a spirit of solidarity and concern for others within the building.
This is a group that relies on students who are responsible, committed to service, and exemplifies positive leadership. It challenges students to respond to the call to their Christian identity.
